…the kitchen sounds, intimacy and atmosphere of the jingling glasses and the whistle of the kettle. [Fabio Bonelli]

These compositions took insipration from a familiar soundscape, that of the kitchen. Spoons, forks, pots are the instruments used to play music. Familiar sounds like water flowing, boiling whistle, jingling glasses are over imposed on the texture of low-fi indie folk tracks.

Fabio Bonelli (1975) was born and lives in Morbegno (SO). He's a musician known as People from the Mountains. The project Kitchen Music starts in 2005 with the idea of capturing the sounds of the kitchen-scape and mixing them into melodies played with guitars, clarinets and accordion.
