Loris Cecchini is an Italian artist based in Berlin and Prato, where we met him at the Centro Pecci, a couple of days before the opening of his solo show – he prefers not to talk about retrospective – Dotsandloops; an overview of his ouvre that gathers works from 1997 to the most recent newly commissioned pieces.

His work explores the encounter between nature and manmade materials: conceptually poetic, yet grandiose in scale his installations question the idea of space and architecture, by resembling the formal complexity of natural organisms.
